Hollywood Hound in Lipstick
OK, not in lipstick but on lipstick–Lipstick Crypton Suede that is.
On a recent trip to NYC, I had the privilege of photographing model and actress Phoebe Cates Kline along with her rescued dog, Joe, inside the eclectic lifestyle store Blue Tree (owned by Mrs. Cates Kline herself). The purpose of the shoot was to showcase one of the beautiful chairs designed by author, designer & pet lifestyle expert, Julia Szabo. This 19050’s slipper chair was covered in pet-friendly Crypton Suede. Be sure to check out Julia’s Life on Crypton blog for the full story.
…nutshell
OK, in a nutshell it’s been a crazy holiday season. I have traveled to L.A. & Arizona, had multiple shoots and rented a studio in the Southlands Mall. You heard it right…I now have a studio. I co-op with 4 other photographers and the space is FANTASTIC! It’s located above the Gap store and the place is really starting to shape up–we even have a coffee pot! HA! I have had 4 or 5 shoots at the studio already. I will post pup photos soon; but for now check out the new space and be sure to consider a sitting soon–I give a discount if you come to the studio. Happy New Year to all of you!
I’m back online…
My apologies to you for the tardy blog update. We had some minor website issues to tackle but I was still shooting–so I have a lot to catch you up on. In the last month I have been to NYC and Aspen. I was in New York for a cover shoot for The American Dog Magazine and Aspen was both work and play. Sometimes I cannot believe what a beautiful state I live in. Aspen was breathtaking. I hiked, ate some great food and photographed a ton of resident dogs. Boy, even dog poop is glamorous in Aspen-HA! Here are some of the photos I took while I was there.
SHHHHHHHHH! Don’t tell anyone!
I know, I know! I always say that “I don’t do weddings” but I recently helped out a friend of mine who “does do weddings”. The photographer is Shannon Worgan of Shannon Worgan Photography (shannonworganphotography.com).
The wedding was held at the most beautiful venue in Boulder, Colorado-Sunrise Amphitheatre at Chatauqua. I swear we were at the highest point in Boulder. The day was gorgeous and the rain held out until the ceremony was over. The reception was held in a large club room on the campus of the University of Colorado. Here are a couple of shots from the day. Enjoy, but remember…I still don’t do weddings! Contact Shannon instead! :)
Contemporary Dog Crate-FidoFlat
Check out one of my most recent shoots! I was hired by FidoFlat to photograph this super-chic, urban dog crate that is so beautiful it dubs as a hip piece of furniture. The canine model in the photos is Owen. Owen was a wonderful sport and never once misbehaved. He was so relaxed that he actually started falling asleep during the last shots.
I selected 3 different scenes to shoot. The first scene was done in front of a piece of scrap metal! The patina on the metal was absolutely gorgeous and contrasted perfectly with the chocolate brown couch and charcoal FidoFlat.
I can only see one flaw with FidoFlat’s design…it doesn’t come in a Great Dane size-HA!
Be sure to check out FidoFlat’s website (to keep an eye out for my photos, as well as their new web design).
